-When it comes to submitting work please make sure to submit your picture to the correct folder. If you have confusion about which folder to send it to, feel free to message me or leave a question on the group. :) This way we can keep all the art nice and neat.

-Only submit artwork that belongs to you. If it is found out that you are submitting stolen artwork to the group then your work will be removed from the group and you will suffer either a temporary ban or you will be removed from the group entirely.

for the moment,
time is money.
This was written
on a budget,
so I'm sorry
if I fudge it.
Keeping it short;
keeping it sweet-
never abort
what makes ends meet.
Daily work pays
the bills for me-
prose is what pays
for poetry.
I've spent my life
paying the bills-
those are lines rife
with all my ills.
I'm in a bind;
can't buy a rhyme-
out of my mind

AstrayGive it to me straight,
not sugar-coated-
don’t hook me with bait
so unrelated 
Revolution’s call;
new tyrants vetted-
a dictator’s words
are to be doubted
Skin-deep ministry
with insides hollow-
false shepherds which
the astray follow
A well-trodden path
so straight and narrow,
poisoned with hatred
and laced with sorrow 
I may lay the blame
for lost condition 
on institutions
of old tradition 
Predisposed towards
pain and contrition- 
the crushing force of

Millennial MenThe world begins
with open eyes- 
a generation
of blinded men
walk on this planet
born dead within
the sentences they speak
lack power and poise-
incomprehensible
in the hollow noise 
no form befits them,
no light colors them,
no force compels them,
no movement blurs them-
they’re clear as infrared,
harmful as ultraviolet 
and once their aging bodies
give way to nature,
the world won’t forget
such resounding failure 
life means death,
so they’d much rather sleep
than grip faith
and take a desperate leap 
the crowds won’t hide them,
the old won’t bide them,
the wind won’t ride them,
the truth won’t tide them-
they’re smooth as broken glass,
alive as thirsty crabgrass
to describe their home,
Death Valley is the name-
for the place they live
and from which illness came
the water is spent
on the wise, living cactus
and the faceless ones
are just as green envious

and ever since
he did conceive
that based on what
he could perceive
there’s nothing for
him to believe,
so the thinker thought
of what he had
to know.

he always feared
dying alone
because he neared
the foreign path
from which he veered,
so the thinker thought
of how he had
to grow.
He once was told
“Don’t be content!”
and ever since
he became bent
on proving truth
as different
from all the lies
that we invent,
so the thinker thought
of what he had
to show. 
With heart bleeding
and unbelieving,
he was buying
common thinking-
never stopping,
never asking
about meaning
for his living,
so the thinker thought

Mister awakening Tree, what is it
That you see from over yonder?
Mister leaf-budding Tree, what is it
That you hear from over afar?
Mister lonely Tree, please tell me
About your day.

Do you hear the hissing tyres
As cars zoom down Highway 41?
Do you hear the gulls screaming?
Do you hear the croaking frogs?
Do you see the grey sky above?
Do you feel the chilled rain?
Do you gaze upon the children from far away,
As they gaze upon you?

What is in your mind, Mister spectating Tree?
Would you cheer for the football team,
And scream for your favourite track runner?
Are you awake enough to enjoy

Wild Dinner PartyWild Dinner Party

Rushing, running, ready-set-go;
The thumps of race gaining underway.
A mother and child, inseparable pair,
Pitted for their lives against a hungry horde.
Twisting, teetering, toppling;
The twig-like snap has sounded.
A child’s still growing limp in two.
The cries heard to the frozen forest.

Adrenaline pumps a mother’s veins,
Speeding pulse thumps her eardrums deaf.
Whites of her panic-blinded eyes are shown,
But unaware, she is, of her fallen child.

The pack overwhelms the crippled child,
Pitiless hunger overcomes its life.
Vice-like jaws of the leader
Clamp onto the soft belly,

I see you over there,
Hiding in plain sight.
I won’t dare approach you across the way.
I won’t dare consider you regarding all the people you’ve served.
Why so many people use you is beyond me,
So many filthy bottoms atop your “golden throne”.
So many diseases amid your many bacteria.
No, I will not use a seat cover on you.
No, I will not hover so many inches above you.
The entire definition is within the name:
Public Restrooms; without any doubt,
A disgusting place among every building.
You are the reason for my fears.
Lutropublicaphobia is no game during an urge.
People make fun of it.

Hoosier Horse Fair

Hello everyone! As some of you may have already seen, one of our memebers Guard-of-the-Citadel has mentioned on our front page that the Hoosier Horse Fair is this weekend at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. They say that this is a great place to take pictures of horses, if any of you are interested you might want to check it out! :)

I don't know where to put this or who to tell but the Hoosier Horse Fair is this weekend at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Unfortunately I cannot attend this year but I've obtained great horse photos in previous years. Everyone should know about this great horse event!!!!!

Hey, has anyone been to Turkey Run in the last week or two? I'm trying to figure out if the frozen waterfall would be there. I thought maybe with that snowmelt and now the freezing temperatures that it might be.

Hmmm I don't know, but I bet you could get some pretty cool ice-cycle shots even if it was still flowing in places, but now its supposed to warm up again, so might have to wait for another cold spell. I'm sure we'll have a couple more.
